About the certificate
The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certification is the world's leading standard for textiles made from organic fibers. It covers all stages of production - from raw material extraction, through processing, to the finished product - taking into account both environmental and social criteria.
GOTS certification categories:
- “ORGANIC”: Products must contain at least 95% certified organic fibers.
- “MADE WITH (X%) ORGANIC”: Products must contain a minimum of 70% certified organic fibers.
GOTS certification criteria include:
- Raw materials: Fibres must come from organic farming, grown without the use of chemical pesticides, artificial fertilisers or genetically modified organisms.
- Production process: Includes rigorous standards for fabric processing, dyeing and finishing, with an emphasis on minimizing environmental impact and eliminating harmful chemicals.
- Working conditions: The GOTS standard places great emphasis on respecting workers’ rights, including ensuring decent working conditions, fair wages and the prohibition of forced and child labour.

Certyfikat Oeko-Tex Standard 100 – Klasa I to jeden z najbardziej znanych międzynarodowych znaków jakości dla wyrobów tekstylnych, potwierdzający ich bezpieczeństwo dla użytkowników. Jest on szczególnie istotny dla produktów przeznaczonych dla niemowląt i małych dzieci, takich jak ubranka, kocyki, pieluszki czy pościel.
Co oznacza certyfikat Oeko-Tex Standard 100?
Certyfikat ten jest przyznawany materiałom tekstylnym, które przeszły rygorystyczne testy na obecność substancji szkodliwych dla zdrowia. Testy obejmują:
- pestycydy,
- metale ciężkie,
- formaldehyd,
- barwniki alergizujące i rakotwórcze,
- ftalany i inne substancje chemiczne mogące negatywnie wpływać na zdrowie.
Klasa I – najwyższy poziom bezpieczeństwa
Produkty tekstylne są klasyfikowane w czterech kategoriach, a Klasa I oznacza najbardziej rygorystyczne wymagania, dotyczące wyrobów przeznaczonych dla niemowląt i dzieci do 3. roku życia. Tkaniny muszą być całkowicie wolne od szkodliwych substancji, ponieważ dzieci mają szczególnie wrażliwą skórę i często wkładają tkaniny do ust.
